Troopers beat authorities, foil arraignment of guilty parties

There was perplexity at the Edo State Judges' Court, Benin, on Wednesday, when a few warriors purportedly raged the court premises and beat up authorities of the Edo State Board on War Against Indiscipline.

The fighters additionally halted procedures at the justices' court on Sapele Street at around 1pm and thwarted an endeavor by the WAI authorities to summon four persons for asserted movement offenses.

It was learnt that the fighters, professedly connected to Setraco, a development firm, crashed into the court premises in two Hilux vans and plugged their riffles, bringing about policemen and court authorities to hurry for security.

Olukoga, who portrayed the occurrence as disillusioning, asked the authority of the Four Unit Summon to alert the officers.

"This is exceptionally pitiful and I don't think we can proceed like this. This is not the Nigerian Armed force we used to know. We are approaching their commandant to alert the fighters.

"They (warriors) are from Setraco. Move must be made against this specific arrangement of warriors. We are not going to permit this issue to rest," he included.
