The Yoruba movie industry morns again as veteran actor Sikiru Adeshina also known as Arakangudu died between Monday night and Tuesday morning, February 8-9, of cardiac arrest in Kaduna state.

Arakangudu was a versatile and handsome actor who was very good at what he does. He has proven himself as he as produced many movies but for some time now but the baritone-voiced actor has gone underground and his whereabouts until he was snatched by the cold hands of death.

1. The light skinned actor, Arakangudu hails from Oshogbo, Osun state.
2. He is more prominent for his herbalist and armed robbery role in Yoruba movies: to show off his amazing talent, Arakangudu takes up both roles effortlessly without mistakes and this has made him at the top of his game over the years.
3. Arakangudu is a major movie producer and became more famous after producing his first movie ‘Iya Oko Bornvita’ as he introduced veteran Nollywood actress, Bukky Ajayi.
4. Arakangudu retired from his Yoruba movie scene and made his major come back in 2015, with the movie ‘Ayaba Oosa’
5. Arakangudu can be reported to be an award-winning actor as he has bagged several awards. In 2004, his movie ‘Iya Oko Bornvita’ won Bukky Ajayi an award at Encomium Magazine’s Reel Awards among others.
6. Till his last breath and in a bid to further his education, Arakangudu was reported to be undergoing a course in Kaduna state, where he gave up the ghost.

7. The movie thespian has produced several movies such as Ogbologbo, Iya Oju Ogun, Ilu Gangan, Idunnu Mi, Agbede Ogun, Ere Agbere. Arakangudu has also written movies such as Temi ni Tie Ko 1and2, Agbede Ogun among others.
